Vacancy for a fully funded PhD position at the University of St Andrews, UK

The Centre for the Study of Philanthropy & Public Good is inviting applications for a fully funded PhD studentship (EU/UK fees plus stipend at RCUK level) on thetheme of ‘Philanthropic Foundations and Engaged Philanthropy’, co-funded by The Rank Foundation and the University of St Andrews.

The work will provide a unique internationally-relevant knowledge-base on engaged philanthropy. Alongside the student’s PhD, outputs from the work will include: a readily available and freely accessible online portal on engaged philanthropy, including an online ‘storymap’ that provides the history and examples of engaged philanthropy practices; summary and overview documents and guidance on key issues relating to engaged philanthropy for practice and policy; review papers in leading international academic journals and relevant professional magazines; conference presentations and knowledge-exchange activities at UK and international levels for academic and non-academic audiences.
