ERNOP is pleased to invite its members and associated members to the second ERNOP Member Meet-Up, continuing the network’s new series of online gatherings dedicated to exchange, reflection, and connection across the European philanthropy research community.

Building on the positive response to the first Member Meet-Up, this session will focus on round-table conversations around three recent and forthcoming ERNOP publications, providing members with an opportunity to engage with their findings and reflect collectively on their implications for research, practice, and education.

Focus of the meet-up

The discussions will centre on:

Philanthropy in Europe Study
Participants will engage with early insights from ERNOP’s forthcoming Philanthropy in Europe study, which offers the most comprehensive overview to date of philanthropy data across European countries. The round-table conversations will explore what the study reveals about giving patterns, organisational structures, and research infrastructures, while also addressing data gaps and future research needs.

ERNOP Snapshot of Philanthropy Research – 2026 Edition
The 2026 edition of the ERNOP Snapshot provides an updated overview of philanthropy research across Europe, mapping ERNOP’s institutional members, their disciplinary backgrounds, research foci, and key research questions. For the first time, the Snapshot also includes associated and supporting associated members, offering a broader perspective on the European philanthropy research landscape.

ERNOP Snapshot of European Philanthropy Education
This new overview documents philanthropy-related educational programmes offered by ERNOP’s academic institutional members. It highlights the diversity of educational formats and approaches across Europe and provides a shared reference point for educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

A space for dialogue and informal exchange

As with the first Member Meet-Up, the session will combine facilitated round-table discussions with opportunities for informal interaction. Participants will be able to continue conversations, exchange perspectives, and connect with peers trough speeddating and networking in the ERNOP Café — an informal space designed to mirror the exchanges that take place during conference coffee breaks.

The Member Meet-Ups form part of ERNOP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen connections within its community and to create spaces where members can engage with current developments, reflect on shared questions, and contribute to shaping the field collectively.
