This factsheet provides an overview of philanthropy-related educational offerings across the academic institutional members of ERNOP in 2026, including courses, degree programmes, and executive education.

ERNOP members contribute to the study and understanding of philanthropy, broadly defined as private, voluntary contributions to public causes. Education in this field is spread across different disciplines and institutional contexts, reflecting the diverse ways in which philanthropy and civil society are approached in teaching. Educational offerings are often interdisciplinary, combining perspectives from fields such as economics, sociology, public policy, and nonprofit management. ERNOP considers this diversity a key strength and aims to make these different approaches visible through the Snapshot of Philanthropy Education.
