The Omikron variety of the Corona virus, and subsequent travel restrictions imposed by a number of governments from countries that are home to some of our the conference delegates, has struck us overnight. Furthermore, we cannot be certain that additional travel restrictions will be in place within the timeframe of the conference. The current situation has already made 20% of the delegates to cancel their participation.
As ERNOP Board and hosting committee, we wanted to provide you with an inspiring and safe environment that would enable you to foster your research and your professional network. However, with the uncertainty of travel restrictions and the increased number of people not being able to participate in person, this is no longer the case.
Therefore, it is with great regret that we have to inform you that the ERNOP Board has decided that, we see no other option than to CANCEL the in person conference in Dublin on December 2-3.
As a consequence of this decision, all conference session that were planned for will move ONLINE by using Zoom. All conference participants will receive an updated conference program on Tuesday and will include all links to both plenary as parallel sessions.
We very much understand that this decision will come as a disappointment for many of you and an online alternative will definitely not provide the experience that would have been provided by our hosts in Dublin. Nevertheless we look forward to virtually see you. Let us make this work – together!
