PhD Workshop

What:

Pre ERNOP conference workshop for PhD students with an interest in philanthropy.

The goal of the workshop is to help PhD candidates design their dissertation plans and provide them with feedback from the mentors and the other participants. Participants briefly present their research plans and discuss them with each other.

René Bekkers (VU Amsterdam), Anne-Claire Pache (ESSEC) and Maria Gallo (NUI Galway) will mentor a selection of PhD candidates who are in the initial stage of their dissertation research.

When:

Where:

The pre ERNOP conference workshop for PhD students will take place at the conference venue at Copenhagen Business School.

Who:

Candidates from all nations and all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Candidates in an early stage of their dissertation research (e.g., preparing a dissertation proposal, working on their literature review or a first paper) will be prioritized.

A limited number of travel and accommodation grants (€250 each) is available for students who have no other funding to attend the workshop. For more information, please contact Barry Hoolwerf at .

The future of our field of research is in the hands of our students. Investing in the next generation of researchers is an important instrument to increase the quality of research.

How:

Please submit your application for participation in the workshop in two pdf files containing:

  1. A motivation letter by the PhD candidate, explaining what the candidate is expecting to learn from the workshop and a support letter from the dissertation supervisor(s)
  2. A (maximum) three-page description of the dissertation plan;

Please submit your application by February 17, 2017. You will be notified of acceptance by March 10, 2017

Participation is free of charge, but admission limited, and registration required.
